Jet Aviation Dusseldorf has received authorization from Williams International to perform On-Wing Hot Section Inspections (HSI).
Hot Section Inspections (HSI) involve thorough examination of the combustion area of the engine, which is located in the aft section of the aircraft. As they typically require engine removal, the ability to conduct on-wing HSI reduces operator downtime, thereby saving money through increased aircraft utilization.
With this approval, Jet Aviation Dusseldorf is authorized to perform on-wing HSI on Williams International FJ44-1A / -1AP / -2A / -2C and -3A engines.
FJ44 engines have a modular design which makes it possible to service two engines on-wing in as little time as two 8-hour shifts.
