LBAS: New Line Maintenance Station in Zurich
Lufthansa Bombardier Aviation Services GmbH (LBAS) has set up a line maintenance station in Zurich, Switzerland.
After a two-day audit by the German Airworthiness Authority acting on behalf of the European Air Safety Agency (EASA), the station has officially been approved and is ready to serve customer aircraft with immediate effect.
Together with local partner and shareholder ExecuJet Europe LBAS offers comprehensive line maintenance support for Bombardier business aircraft, including the Learjet 40, Learjet 45 and Learjet 60 business jets, all Challenger series aircraft, as well as Global Express, Global Express XRS, Global 5000 and Global 6000 jets.
Included in the services are AOG support, trouble-shooting and defect rectification up to scheduled inspections within the line maintenance approval range.
Christoph Meyerrose, LBAS' Managing Director stated: "Since a lot of our customers operate in Western and Southern Europe, we bring our renowned services directly to their doorstep. It is only a short distance from these economic powerhouses to our well equipped line maintenance base in Zurich, the financial and economic metropolis of Switzerland."
While LBAS provides manpower, tools and material support, ExecuJet offers hangar space right next to its Fixed Base Operation (FBO) at Zurich International Airport.
