Lufthansa increases its long haul fuel surcharge

Lufthansa is increasing its fuel surcharge on long haul flights by five euros, in reaction to rising crude oil prices.

Surcharges are now 82 euros for long-haul destinations in the Middle East, East Africa, 87 Euros to long-haul destinations in North America and India and a whopping 97 euros to long-haul destinations in South America, Central-, West- and Southern Africa, Southeast Asia and the Far East.

The fuel surcharge on domestic German and European flights and flights to/from Israel, Lebanon, Jordan and Northern Africa remain unchanged at 24 euros per flight leg.
