Lufthansa maiden flight from Munich to Mexico takes off on schedule
Yesterday evening the first Lufthansa flight from Munich to Mexico City took off on schedule. The Airbus A340-600 with flight number LH 520 left Munich Airport punctually at 10.25 p.m.
“We were able to carry out this maiden flight as planned, despite the strike by the Vereinigung Cockpit pilots’ union. Mexico is becoming increasingly important for the German market from an economic perspective,” said Thomas Klühr, Member of the Lufthansa German Airlines Board, Finances & Munich Hub.
In future, Mexico City will be on the Munich flight plan five times a week, in addition to the daily flight from Frankfurt. The new connection is served by an Airbus A340-600 with up to 326 seats.
