Scheurle appointed new CEO of DFS
At its meeting today, the Supervisory Board of DFS Deutsche Flugsicherung GmbH appointed Prof Klaus-Dieter Scheurle as the new Chairman and CEO of the Board of Managing Directors of DFS with effect from 1 January 2013.
Scheurle succeeds Dieter Kaden, who will retire at the end of the year after 20 years in office.
Michael Odenwald, Ministerialdirektor at the Federal Ministry of Transport, Building and Urban Development, was appointed as new Chairman of the Supervisory board, a post previously held by Scheurle.
The appointment of the new CEO completes the restructuring of the Board of Managing Directors. From 1 January 2013, Prof Scheurle will join Robert Schickling, Managing Director Operations, and Dr Michael Hann, Director Human Resources and Labour Director. Dr Hann took up his position on 1 September 2012.
