Diehl Aerosystems increases local presence in India

Diehl Aerosystems will come to this year's Aero India airshow in Bangalore supported by an increased local presence in the country.

Following the completion of all necessary formalities in the course of 2010, the Liaison Office in Bangalore is now officially established and fully operational. The office is looking after all business activities and opportunities of the company in India, primarily consisting of the current procurement of engineering services and IT/software products, as well as preparatory work for potential busi-ness relationships in the future. In this context, the cooperation with aerospace companies and institutions in India enjoys high priority at Diehl Aerosystems.

Diehl Aerosystems was teaming up with the National Aerospace Laboratory of India (NAL) at the India Aviation airshow in Hyderabad in early March 2010. The German company was contributing its expertise and experience in the field of aircraft cabin interiors and electronics as well as outfit-ting for a cabin mock-up of a new aircraft project: a 70/90-seat regional airliner, dubbed "RTA 70".

For this year's Aero India in Bangalore, an improved and updated cabin mock-up will be displayed at the Diehl stand C17 in Hall C. This new mock-up will feature a re-designed complete cabin lin-ing, luggage bins and integrated cabin lighting, all contributed by Diehl Aerosystems. This mock-up of an enhanced cabin is designed according to international standards, including bins to hold stan-dard cabin trolleys.
