Fraport extends CEO contract with Dr. Schulte to 2019

Fraport AG's supervisory board today approved a five-year contract extension for the company's executive board chairman (CEO) Dr. Stefan Schulte.

His current term as CEO, which expires in August 2014, will be extended until August 31, 2019.  Thus, the supervisory board's early renewal is ensuring continuity at the helm of Fraport.

Karlheinz Weimar, Fraport's supervisory board chairman, said: "We are pleased that in the coming years Dr. Schulte will be able to continue - with his tremendous experience and expertise - his successful work as executive board chairman. Under Schulte's leadership, Frankfurt-based Fraport has further developed into one of the most influential airport managers worldwide. On behalf of the supervisory board, I wish him and the entire executive board success in their task ahead."

Schulte has been serving as Fraport's CEO since September 2009.  In 2007, he became Fraport's vice chairman of the executive board.  From 2003 to 2007, he held the position of executive board member responsible for finance (CFO).

Born in Wuppertal, Germany, Schulte completed his education and training in banking and economics.  Before Fraport, he was board member of Cologne-based Deutz AG, where he was responsible for finance and human resources.
