LHT signs landing gear maintenance contract for A340-300 with Emirates

Emirates Airline has contracted Lufthansa Technik AG to overhaul the center landing gears of its Airbus A340-300 fleet. The agreement has been signed for two years and includes services for eight aircraft.

Lufthansa Technik’s landing gear business unit in Hamburg, Germany will be responsible for all necessary maintenance, repair and overhaul works on the A340-300 center landing gears.

Walter Heerdt, Lufthansa Technik’s Senior Vice President Marketing & Sales said: “In 2005 we signed the first landing gear contract with Emirates to provide services for a significant part of the Emirates’ Boeing 777 fleet. We are very proud that we have been able to fulfill Emirates’ high quality requirements in the past years. This successful partnership has been the base to extend these kinds of services to another aircraft family within the Emirates’ fleet.”
